Wreck Hunter is fitted with the most sophisticated array of electronics yet fitted to a craft by Safehaven Marine. The installation was completed by our electrician Gaybrial Whitston of M.E.S, whose vast experience when head of electronics in the navy was invaluable. The installation features a Simrad CM60 3D mapping sonar allowing Joe to accurately map and record a three dimensional image of bottom features, which will be an invaluable tool for the long range wrecking he intends to use the craft for. Also fitted are a Simrad 10” display RA42 24nm radar, EQ60 Echo sounder, long range Sailor MF radio, Trimble 300D GPS for sub 1m accuracy, Interphase forward looking sounder, Simrad VHF and Simrad auto pilot. Also fitted is an underwater camera as well as reversing and aft cockpit viewing and recording video for recording angling action as well as a computer and printer with laminator for printing pictures of customers catches. For long trips a DVD and LCD TV screen should pass the travelling time. Power to supply all this with electricity was provided with a second large output alternator fitted to the port engine and 2 x 2.5kw inverters.
